What I think about medium Partner Program 🤔

I’ve been part of Medium for a while now, and I must say — it’s a fantastic platform for writers. It gives us a great opportunity to learn, share our thoughts, and build an audience, all while rewarding us for our work.

Recently, Medium even announced that it became profitable for the first time in years, which is a big milestone.

It’s clear they’re committed to creating a sustainable model for both the platform and its writers. However, I have some concerns about the long-term future of the Partner Program.

The Steps Medium is Taking to Sustain the Partner Program

Medium has introduced a few key measures to ensure quality and encourage meaningful engagement on the platform:

• Member Read Time
  Medium rewards writers based on how long a paying member reads their story. If a member reads for 30 seconds or more, the writer earns, and the longer they read, the more the writer makes. This helps to encourage deeper, more thoughtful content, rather than quick, shallow reads.
• Positive Interactions
  Writers earn more when members clap, highlight, comment, or engage with their stories in other meaningful ways. The idea here is to reward content that resonates with readers and sparks interaction, which is a good way…
